Professor Hasen is an expert in the Remedies field and I highly recommend this book with any remedies class. This book is also extremely helpful if you need a Remedies treatise to supplement your bar exam studies. It covers all of the bar exam topics in a more simple, but better approach. The section on how to take a Remedies test alone made this book a great buy.

My remedies class was incredibly esoteric and philosophical, but the exam was not. This remedies E&E was great in breaking down everything, explaining the black letter law as well as the different policy reasons behind the law. Examples were good, too.

Made some of the more difficult remedies concepts much easier to comprehend (read: equitable subrogation and constructive trusts). I don't think I would have done nearly as well on my final had it not been for this book clearing up some of the muddiness that my professor brought to the class.

This was a long drawn out version of the concepts. I was reading it to supplement and then decided it was wasting my time.

I teach Remedies. I used to be a fan of Gilbert's law summaries. Now I'm a fan of Examples and Explanations.Gilbert's has gotten too long, too complex, and does too little summarizing.No study aid is a substitute for the classroom. However, E & E can help pave the way to better understanding.

What I really liked about this book is that it not a "how to..." book at all, but rather it is very personal memoir of all of Hageseth's experiences starting five years ago from a naïve "What's this marijuana thing?" to becoming of the most successful growers/purveyors in Colorado today. For this reason, this memoir is a MUST READ for anyone who wants to learn a little more about this new frontier of medical/recreational drugs. Particularly helpful to me was Hageseth's candor with respect to his multiple failures until he got it right, helping me to appreciate how seemingly invisible and often subtle variables are inevitable and unavoidable, and not because my particular overtures were "jinked." In addition to being valuable to folks contemplating getting into the business, this memoir is a really GOOD READ for anyone interested in piercing the purple haze of this as yetuncharted terrain.

WOW!Big Weed offers an amazing view, from the inside, of what is going on in the MJ business. The author has seen it all. This book is a backstage pass to the ins and outs of the "Business" of legalized pot.I will never listen to a news story the same.I "highly" (no pun intended) recommend this book. Book was interesting enough to crush it in one sitting. I would highly recommend "Big Weed" those who want to learn more about the business side of this rapidly expanding industry from the POV of an entrepreneur who got in on the ground floor of one of the first States to legalize MJ.

This is an amazing story about a whole new industry that has been despised by our government for decades, this is Americana at its best! Please if you haven't already taken a 420 vacation GO! There are so many different strains and YOU DON'T HAVE TO SMOKE POT anymore to recieve the benefits! There are so many great things this can do for our economy! Good luck to all the folks in the industry!

Cons: dryPros: gives you a birds eye view of the industry in a very general way. Its a worthy read but its just not entertaining enough for the average reader.That said, it does show you a first hand account for that time period. Gold nuggets of information can be found if you can keep your eyes open.

Absolutely loving this book!!! It is so refreshing to see this industry through the eyes of a proven business man (as opposed to clinicians or stoners).It is a powerful blend of professional insight interspersed with personal narrative. I recommend this book highly for anyone wanting truly understand the truth about this industry and one of the last uncharted frontiers in our world. There is so much potential awaiting us and Big Weed will help us realize it!!!

I had to chance to do contract work for this company and Green Man, under the leadership of Chris & co, absolutely have the best product on the market in Colorado and this book shows you why. This is great look inside the development of a pioneering company in a new industry and as far as I know, the only publication on the market that takes you inside. I've had an older first or second edition of this George White book for some time and it is still very useful and a favorite but this brand new December 2013 printing includes significant improvements and is well worth getting even if you already have an earlier copy in the original format.The early editions of the book were pretty good even though they weren't in color and the illustrations and format weren't up to more modern standards. This 2013 edition has many color photos that are now on a gloss paper. Along with some additional text are many added illustrations. Additionally, the original George White drawings are now much larger, clearer and cleaned up. It's so much better that it's like a different book.

The 2013 edition is a very fine volume. I have the original 1969 edition which I bought from Tandy Leather back in the early 1980's. The editors, Barry E. Hardin and J. Rex Reddick, greatly enhanced Mr. White's original edition. The drawings have been upgraded. Of particular use to the craftsman are the new instruction on making Plains tribes' soft and hard sole moccasins. I especially like the numerous photographs of various moccasins. The photos and paintings of various American Indians are excellent. I am very happy to have this text in my library, and highly recommend it to those with an interest in the topic, craftspeople, social historians, etc.

You have to love a book that knocks it out of the park. By rigorously focusing on the subject and purpose, with no extraneous detail, the author manages to cover an enormous range of moccasin types - 28 types from 30 tribes. IN 87 PAGES! With photos (color). With construction illustrations. The briefest commentary on native tanning and rawhide production practice takes a handful of pages up front.I had read that this book was the single best reference for moccasin construction. Having now looked at several other books and sources, I not only agree, but agree in spades.Highly recommended for the moccasin MAKER.

A fantastic book I recommend to my leather crafting students to use for reference and motivation.After they take the classes, they can refer to this craft book for guidance when no instructor nor moccasin maker is readily available to answer questions.

Great job of a renewal of a classic. I still have my well worn original. One of my favorites.

If you have ever wanted to make authentic native footwear, this definitive book gives step by step instruction on making beautiful moccasins. It is profusely illustrated with color images and patterns, and informs the reader on choosing or tanning the appropriate hide, to identifying the various styles of footwear particular to specific North American tribes.

Got this to replace my older copy which has gotten lost in my studio. I like the new layout better.

Not a craft Manuel as much as the history of Mocs in different tribes but still a great read!
