This is the first time I have given any series 5 stars for each book. It took me two days to read book one and book two, I just could not stop. The story was clean, real and heart felt. It made you smile, laugh, sad, cry, thankful, etc. I love the Christian fiction work of many others, but the work of Ms. Bowman has me blown away. Don't take my word for it, read it for yourself. I just happened to look on line and book three is out, just ordered it and going to read it now, RIGHT NOW!!!
I love this series of books!!!! I will recommend this series to all my friends that read books. I love the fact that a book can be this good and this well written without having so much sex involved. This book made me smile as well as cry. You would think someone so successful would not have so much heartache. But it just shows that regardless of your status in life, you will have tribulations, but God will see you through it all. I can't wait to see who died in the fatal accident. More struggles for this family, when will it all end!!!! Great series!!!! I hope it ends strong and positive.
I've read the first book twice, since my bookclub is now reading it. I immediately started the second book and I was not disappointed! What a story. I cannot believe a mother would give up her child for ANY amount of money, but it happened. So glad that Omar and Kristina worked out their lives. Starting the third book right away. My book club could not stop at the first book, so we' re reading and discussing all 3. Love your writing, Ms Bowman. Next I'll be reading the New Life Tabernacle series!
Wow. Some very eventful stuff is happening. Brock and Marissa being Chloe’s biological parents. Poor Omar. Then, Marissa just giving up her parental rights?! I couldn’t ever fathom doing something like that. I’m glad Omar and Kristina finally get to reconnect with Xavier too. I can’t wait to read the next one to see what happens with the bus crash. This series is very entertaining thus far.
I have to say that it is not just about this title it's all three books that will be getting my praise. Fantastic, fantastic story. You laugh, you cry and you join in. It all flows. Once in a while you get something good to read - this is it - all three books flow. From book 1 where the Lord is working on restoring my soul, - anger, book 2 where my soul sings because I was once was lost now I am found - forgiveness and book 3 knowing that the Lord is with me my soul will be satisfied - faith. What a continuance. But that is life. Somewhere along the way you will get lost but knowing that the rock will always be there ........
This series has kept me reading from one book to the next. As soon as I finished the first one, even though it was midnight I quickly downloaded the second and third so that I wouldn't have to stop next time. LaShonda Bowman was right when she wrote in the back of this book that her readers would be mad at her for the ending of this book...she's lucky the sequel was already waiting for me or she would have indeed gotten a nasty email. Instead I give her this 5 star review....LOVED IT!
She did it again! The story continued with the same quality that made me tear through book one. Book two seemed to pick it up a notch with the surprises...and heart-tugging drama. And the surprises...they were good! I look forward to your next books. I truly enjoyed reading Book 1 and Book 2. Very well written, the book kept me interested in wanting to get to the end. Can't wait to read book 3. Please continue to let God use you, I love reading books without all of the profanity. I love reading good books and I consider this a really good book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading good Christian books. Be Blessed!
