One of my daughters uses this text book in her Spanish class at school which has been changing Spanish text books annually. It is not one of the better ones that she has used over the years - the information is not always presented in a clear manner - so if you are home schooling, you may want to look for a different Spanish book. Much of the vocabulary is presented in picture form which would be okay if there was either an English translation included or if the picture was more specific. For instance, there is a cartoon-type picture of a boy throwing a wadded up piece of paper into a waste basket with a Spanish phrase written under it. My daughter and I both assumed it referred to "picking up trash" but the actual translation (given in class) was "cleaning the room". Overall, there are much better texts available.
We use it for several grades. It works great!
