Wow! This book has very good information on how to use companion plant gardening to your advantage. The idea of plants complementing each other when planted side by side is interesting while very practical as they can help each other grow together. As a beginner, I liked the information on the basic herbs and vegetable pairs to plant in my garden. Some of them are even insect/pest repellents. It also teaches how to start an effective water system and how to deal with weeds and common crop problems. The book is easy to read and comprehensive. I appreciate this form in books I buy.
I have always wanted to start gardening especially now that we moved in to a new home. I really don't know where to start so I'm lad I got this book. This one is really for beginners and will teach you everything you need to know to start. I like the part on flowers because that's what I really want for my mini garden. Really helpful especially on choosing the plants.
This book was very helpful and informative, and I am sure that I will be referring back to it in my own start to gardening. I have wanted to try it out for a few years now, but have been intimidated by what seemed a monumental task. I wasn't sure I would have the time to tend a successful garden. Luckily I've read this book just in time for spring.

This book is a great reference for experienced and inexperienced gardeners alike. It helps you think about how you use things and how to plant to accommodate use and care of the plants. This is an awesome book for any beginner to get started with gardening. It really goes step by step and describes exactly how to grow your own plants! I would definitely recommend this for anybody needing that extra assistance with learning how to garden
Had vaguely heard about companion planting. Book gave a lot of good examples. Would have enjoyed a few pictures. Some repetition.
