Anyone can market a book like a millionaire writer, they just need to know how! This book includes views of several different types of book signing venues--indoor and outdoor! Great stuff on getting prepared--before I even finished I created an author page on Facebook and applied for a Virginia State sales tax ID. Then I made a note on my shopping list to check the dollar stores for plastic tablecloths in a color that goes well with my bookcover. I've also started to think about a stiff-backed poster from Staples that can either be taped to the wall (bring tape!) or stood on end on the table. This isn't the half of it! She provides a comprehensive list of places to look for venues to present your books. As a result of that list I've bookmarked two sites for future promotion.

This is a great starting point for organizing all the ideas jumping around in your head. Writing, per se, is free--publishing and marketing are not. Even my traditionally published book has taken A LOT of effort and initiative on my part to move copies. This is a good one to read early on so you don't have to go crazy making it all happen at once...because it won't without lots of time and effort. Thanks Lisa. Enjoyed this quick read--to the point and adaptable

Lisa Shea has written a thorough, professional guide for managing book signings. This book is perfect for the novice, but also provides a great checklist for already published writers as well.I can't tell you how much this book boosts my confidence that I'll handle my book signings with ease.

As an author going to her first book signing, I was thrilled to see this how to book. Lisa gives step by step instructions for a successful event. The text is easy to read and understand. I finished the book in about an hour and have it in my phone for future reference. If you are heading out to your first event, or if you've been to some that weren't successful, I strongly encourage you to give this book a read.

This is a great book for new, aspiring, or even seasoned authors! Lisa's knowledge and experience is extremely helpful and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to do a book signing.

True to its name: the basics of planning and running a book signing. The author begins with how to promote the signing, provides the important items to bring, and even how to behave during a signing, all which I liked. She covers the gamut from A to Z, including a brief section on sales tax and record keeping. The things I didn't like, but the author can easily fix were a couple of typos and some of the photos were sized weirdly. As an unpublished author, I will definitely use this as a reference when planning my own book signing.I received this free book for an honest review.
